loftness brush shredders

With little to no experience with this kind of stuff I'm not sure where to start Our snowmobile club here in MN is researching a brush cutter/shredder to maintain our trails in the off season. Quickly searching the net, Loftness shredders seem to pop up everywhere. This unit seems like it might work. Our needs are to cut and remove or mulch saplings up to 3". I have a few questions: With the ocasional rock and stump sticking up, how will this effect the unit? Are they pretty tough? How low do they cut? We have two trail groomers with full hydraulic systems on each. Our plan is to attach a shredder inplace of the blade and get year round use out of it. Any information you guys can provide on Loftness or any other brush shredder will be great. Thank you.
